Please remember this
if you ever leave, I will wait for you, when your holding her hand I’ll walk behind hoping that you’ll turn around and see my footsteps but you won’t, you’re too star struck by her eyes I wish were mine and a heart that I wish was beating for me but I’ll still wait for you with lock doors and closed blinds I’ll still wait for you because we promised forever you and me and I promised that if anything ever came between us I won’t give up and I’ll keep my promise, even if you didn’t keep yours, I’ll still set a plate for you I’ll still make your favorite food and I’ll still wait for you at the same spot we first met, you know the one with the water so beautiful you told me you could stay here forever with me I’ll wait even if you’re gone because I promised.
She is something out of this world, she isn’t the kind of spirit you see everyday, you would be lucky to catch a glimpse of her soul. The universe exists from within her and she is surrounded by stardust. She is like a blurry feeling, a misunderstood thought, she is all your dreams sprawled all over your reality. She is a ray of sunshine, a shadow in the dark, something you always try to catch in your grip but never will. She is an undefined place you long to go to, she makes you feel like home even when she feels homesick herself. She is like the lonely galaxy, she shines even though she is lost in space. She is a mess of stars made of cosimc dust, that’s why she feels infinite as if she is drowning in the depth of eternity. She has so much inside of her it sometimes suffocates her,so she leaves pieces of herself in everything around her until she feels empty, she is stuck between everything and nothing and somehow she manages to exist beautifully. Her skin is made of poetry and her mind is made of puzzles, she dances around like she is an angel and she cries like she is stuck in a graveyard. She is a moment that’s bond to last,60 seconds aren’t enough for her. She is the difference between sickness and medicine, the darkness and the light, art and pain, she is the difference between who you’re and who you want to be, she is difference between your heart and your brain, its a thin line you’re walking at, you know you might fall but you keep walking anyways. She is something out of this world and if you’re lucky enough, she might take you into hers.
I hope her lips
Taste enough like mine that you can’t kiss her
I hope her waist
Is shaped enough like mine that you tremble when you hold her
I hope her eyes
Shine like you told me mine did
Enough so you can’t look into them.
I hope it burns when you try to speak to her
I hope your words get caught in your throat
And you mistake her name for mine.
I hope you sit
With your hand gripped around your neck
As you try to keep your shattered breathing to yourself
I know you’re hurting
But what I’ll never understand is how your pinky fingers aren’t broken like the promises you made to me.
But I know she won’t taste, feel, or look enough like me.
I know you’ll know her name the first time.
This is only because she’s not me. She will never be me. And you can fill your heart’s holes with the dirt you find on the ground, if you want.
You can fill your lungs with the smoke of another.
But the pain you’ll put yourself through,
Will be nothing like the pain you gave me
Break up poems are filled with empty threats and broken vows
But one thing I can promise is, the door you closed on us over the phone that night,
The key has been thrown away.
And there’s no use trying to break the door down. I nailed it shut months ago.
You just forgot there was an open window right next to it.
To you, the one who loves her next.
Don’t buy her coffee she won’t drink it, she’ll say she hates the bitter taste it has and when you try and kiss her she’ll make jokes about how it taste like coffee just laugh it off.
When you make her laugh it’s the most amazing thing you could ever experience, her smile is so beautiful and her teeth are always so white, she hiccups when she laughs, it’s okay just laugh along and tell her how cute it is, she’ll love that, she’ll most likely say“no it’s not” but it is.
When you’re messaging her and she says she sad, call her, play her a song or sing to her even if you suck she’ll love it anyways, talk about instruments, she loves them, she has a guitar and a piano that she always plays, she’ll play them for you over the phone it’ll make her feel better and sometimes she’ll even sing for you and my god it’s wonderful just listening to her.
Her anxiety, sometimes she’s not okay and you have to know that there’s going to be those times where she wants to talk about her mom or her family just listen, listen to her and tell her you love her, tell her it’s okay and that everything’s going to be okay and most importantly listen, that’s all she wants.
She’s so independent, she doesn’t know how beautiful she is, tell her how pretty she is every day, how lovely it is too see her face and her smile and her dimples on her eyebrows, tell her that her hairs so pretty that you wanna rub your hands through it she’ll love that.
she’s patient, she’s kind, she’s caring, show her all that and she will show you the same, she will love you with everything she has she will put your happiness over hers, tell her she doesn’t have to that you wanna make her happy just as much as she wants to make you happy, don’t take her for granted, she has a heart made out of gold she will love you with everything she has and that’s something that’s real, something thats worth it.
